Our Story

Where did OneSila come from?

For decades, my family and I had a thriving manufacturing pet accessories company in the B2B space, leveraging classic sales channels with retailers and wholesalers. Since the 1970s, we have built a reputation for quality and reliability, but as the market evolved, so did our ambitions. It was time for a shake-up to leap into the M2C arena.

Transitioning to M2C (Manufacturing To Consumer) was about more than just setting up a single website. Our business was complex, operating in a niche market with a global reach. Managing manufacturing, inventory, procurement, production lists, invoices, and shipping orders across 8 local websites and 5 marketplaces became daunting. Hiring a small army to manage all products and orders was unattainable, we just didn't have the funds so we needed a better way. One that wouldn't break the bank.

After many hours of searching and conversations with existing vendors, we were still looking for a product to address our specific problems. We needed the tools to distribute our products across many marketplaces in various languages and currencies. The only vendors we found were very much out of our budget, and often lacking in modern real-time abilities. That would mean more manual work - which was simply not an option - Our view was to grow without needing a large team so that we could focus on product development and customer service.

Since we couldn't find an existing solution in the market, our quest continued. Luckily enough, I had the skills to develop the tools we needed. so we ended up building it ourselves. The vision was simple: Product information across to manage the whole business without hiring. So I got to work and built a first version that which was used in our factory.

Frankly, it was a lot of work. After months of building, hours of testing, and improvement, we arrived with great success. Managing the entire product range went from a full time job, to less than an hour per week across all 7 marketplaces, 11 websites, in all currencies and languages.

This was how the first version of OneSila was born. Fast-forward a good while, and I started noticing that many today still struggle with these things: lots of Excel sheets and manual work. So here we are: after rebuilding from the ground up with my Co-Founder David, we have an accessible, easy-to-use platform built to help you manage more business without hassle. I hope that by discovering OneSila, you will discover the same joys we did.
